Katharine Weymouth

Co-Chairwoman

Katharine Weymouth is a partner at Blu Ventures, a venture fund focused on cybersecurity and health tech. Katharine also serves on the boards of several public companies including Graham Holdings Company, Cable One, Republic Services, Xometry, and The Sequoia Mutual Fund. In addition, Katharine teaches a First Amendment course as an adjunct professor at George Washington University School of Media and Public Affairs. She also sits on the board of local non-profits – Volunteer Lawyer Advocates as well as Meadow Reproductive.

Prior to these roles, Katharine served as Publisher and Chief Executive Officer of The Washington Post from 2008 to 2014 and worked in several prior roles including as an in-house attorney and as VP of the Advertising department from 1996-2008.

Katharine earned a B.A. magna cum laude from Harvard College in 1988 and a JD from Stanford Law School in 1992. Following law school, she clerked on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals before joining Williams & Connolly in Washington, D.C.
