Pinkie D. Mayfield
Pinkie D. Mayfield is Vice President of Corporate Solutions and Assistant Treasurer of The Washington Post Company, where she is a key member of the executive finance team responsible for leadership and management of the company’s largest procurement contracts for goods, services, and assets totaling in excess of $90 million.
Mayfield joined the company in 1998 as corporate cash manager, and became assistant treasurer in 1999 before assuming her current role in 2003. Prior to joining The Washington Post Company, Mayfield was a vice president and trust officer at NationsBank (now Bank of America), where she worked in the Investment Services Division as part of the Foundations & Endowments Group. She began her career with Prudential-Bache Securities.
With a strong commitment to community service focused on children and education, Mayfield currently serves on the board of directors of the District of Columbia College Access Program (DC-CAP) and Leadership Greater Washington (Class of 2001), and as a trustee of the Philip L. Graham Fund. She previously served as a trustee of Trinity University, and on the board of directors of Metropolitan Community Development Corporation, CASA of D.C., and dcbaseball.org.
Mayfield graduated magna cum laude with a BA in business administration from Trinity University in Washington, DC, and received an MBA from the University of Maryland University College. She and her husband, Carl A. Mayfield, live in Washington, DC, with their two young children.
